There
are certain things on the planet today which are virtually beyond
our control. For those upon whom we can exercise our perfect
control and as a ramification of the same, head towards a more
prosperous, greener, burgeoning environment, is e-publishing. Gone
are the days, when you'd have
to cross many barriers to reach Major Bookstores, spend hours
choosing the books of your choice, executing lot of paperwork, driving back
home, to have
your favorite book. The process could even stretch to marathon
days, looking for the particular book of your whimsical choice.
Come
Internet. Come e-publishing. And that's fantastically
revolutionized all. 10 years ago, email seemed obsolete,
disastrous and often ridiculed in many parts of the world. Today,
year 2004, emailing and the Internet has veritably brought the
world to your delectable fingertips, metamorphosed sordidly
cumbersome paper offices into plush and state-of-the-art
e-offices. The whole world today in wired on the Net, with
millions of users added as time unveils, and perhaps by year 2020,
there would be no sign of obnoxiously perilous paper. The world
would be a paperless paradise, to live in, to blissfully breathe,
to live in perfect symbiotism with the environment, to conserve
our natural resources to the most unsurpassable limits.
E-Publishing has a plethora of advantages which are inimitably
beautiful. Imagine sitting in a forlornly dilapidated corner of
the extreme North Pole, with any major bookstore being fathomless
kilometers away from you, heavy
blizzards blowing all around. Or a more fantastic example,
consider yourself at the peak of Mount Everest, without a trace of
civilization around. But if you're armed with your laptop computer
and Internet, you can read your choice of author, you can purchase
your choice of book, within fraction of seconds, logging on to the
Internet. All it takes is a few clicks, and voila you're there. An
incredulously exhilarating feeling encapsulates my persona, that
contemporary technology put to benevolent use today can virtually
give me access to the book I want, the Literary material that I want to
read, inexpensively, at the click of a mouse on my computer,
without having the tyranny to search for it in a crowded
marketplace or over-stuffed bookstore.
That
too, without any merciless chopping of trees, without the
slightest of imperilment to the blissful environment, without the
slightest of extra pinch to my pocket. Making the
society/civilization around me a cleaner, neater, greener place to
live in.
And the
speeds involved to it are lightening fast. It takes just few
seconds today using conventional technology to metamorphose
countless pages of printed literature into e-literature and make
it available on the Internet, for millions to read, imbibe and be
enthralled to the most unfathomable limits, with its eclectic
essence.
So next
time you want a specific book, by a specific author. Don't need to
go to libraries. Don't need to frequent Over-stuffed bookstores.
Don't need to fill in various formalities before laying your hands
on it. Don't need to perceive mercilessly chopped
trees/environment in order to procure it within your bedroom
delights. Don't need to think of the expense involved.
Instead.
All you need to do is, log on to your computer/computer devices,
log on to the Internet and your destination is just a few clicks
away. You might be sitting any place on the earth, the literature
you've always wanted to read is yours, not a penny extra charged
and brilliantly cost-effective for you.
The
years to follow will I am irrefutably sure, metamorphose even the
most infinitesimal speck of paper around into rejuvenating
e-paper. There won't be a single tree felled for printing books.
And man and environment will limitlessly continue to exist in
euphoric synergy with each other, as was the case when Almighty
God had created the earth countless years ago.
God
bless,
